Arlene Corwin writes

Half Birthdays
Dedicated to Jennifer Council, who, as a little February girl helped invent the concept.

To those whose birthday occur in the cold winter time, who deserve a warm day summer celebration, this poem is dedicated.

November has a day in May.
December in warm June.
January has July and February, August moon.
March and April don’t need one.
For April’s led to May and then it’s done,
Heading again to autumn - cold begun.
Therefore, Happy Birthday everyone
Who needs a summer party
When all who cannot come in winter
Can come easily and heartily!
