Got my lazy head on

I woke up this morning
wearing my lazy head
thinking to myself
I should have stayed in bed

Too lazy to make breakfast
it's no way to start the day
too lazy to listen
to what any one wants to say

I'm going to sit down
on the settee all day
maybe watch TV
or find games to play

If I can be bothered
I might let you join in
we can spend the day in pjs
and empty the biscuit tin

The King of Rock and Roll

I feel like Elvis the king
in the music he wrote
unlike the music of today
I can't understand a note

All the banging
makes my head vibrate
it makes the love I feel
quickly turn to hate

Drink fuels the fire
that burns inside
who would have known
it would be the night I died

Life of misery

In your eyes
I see the light has gone
too many lies you told
now we are none

Painful to the core
your tales of deceit
this heart never saw it coming
so it couldn't retreat

The pains turned to anger
the love is now hate
you filled my life with misery
as she offered you her plate

I am so glad we went
our separate ways
I would never have coped
with you on any more ruthless days.

Missing footsteps

I stand under the moon
searching the sky for you
are you a nightmare
or a perfect dream come true

Where would I look
in my search
would it be in the sky
or across the earth

Would it be in the sunshine
on a summers day
would it be in the autumn
where the fallen leaves lay

Could it be
when the snows on the ground
you are the one that’s missing
when no footsteps are around

A lost mind

Her age it bothered her greatly
as each wrinkle crossed her face
she sighed with desperation
as her good looks go without a trace

She remembered way back
When she was bullied for her charm
sweet and innocent
she was in the way of harm

No one would listen
she spent many day in a rush
as they pulled her hair
and dragged her onto her tush

They never thought of the pain
that they each inflicted on her
as the days wore on so tirelessly
her mind stayed in the blur
