  1. Grigory Rodchenkov was a chemist who used his knowledge to enhance Russian athletic prowess before he fled to the US in 2015. Among his creations was "Duchess," a mixture of 3 anabolic steroids and Martini-brand vermouth he formulated for top athletes. He also described "the Sochi Plan," which included collecting months' worth of clean urine that had been collected by at least 100 athletes to switch with their contaminated urine before testing.
