Arlene Corwin writes

Eighty Is The New Sixty

Hundreds of us - thousands, and
We’re playing jazz, writing books,
Keeping our good looks with makeup,
Clothes, dyed hair and yoga,
Not worn out like grandma was.
Wrinkles yes,
But energy, that’s key;
And opportunity.
Problems philosophical are always there,
Have always been, will always be -
Faith, death, life’s intention.
There we are with house and pension,
All of our functions.
What a grace, compared to which
The wrinkled face means nothing.
Mind clear!
You’re here!
You’re  reading this!
Great! Grateful, greet the day!

  2. "Kāmasūtra" (kāma [desire], sūtra [a thread or line that holds things together; metaphorically, an aphorism, rule, formula, or collection of them in the form of a manual]) was a guide to virtuous and gracious living that discussed the nature of love, family life, and other aspects pertaining to the pleasure-oriented faculties of human life, written by Vātsyāyana ca. 400-200 BCE; it is popularly thought of a sex manual. The PalmaSutra is a small, illustrated version of work, a freeware application created in 2000 that works on any platform supporting the Palm OS (version 2 and higher). It is available in French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch and features illustrated pictures of sexual positions, a built-in memopad to comment on them, a "favorites" list, and support for quick keyboard navigation. "Greeting the Day" is an addendum to the PalmaSutra: "And Shakti said unto his pupil Apernam, 'As the red sun rises in the east, and the snow geese have landed in the pond, so too shall you Greet the Day.'" (In other words, it describes putting one's penis across a snooze bar and patiently awaiting the unsuspecting sleeper's clumsy caress upon groping for another few minutes of sleep.)

Adi Shakti, Adi Shakti, Adi Shakti, Namo Namo! Sarab Shakti, Sarab Shakti, Sarab Shakti, Namo Namo! Prithum Bhagvati, Prithum Bhagvati, Prithum Bhagvati, Namo Namo! Kundalini Mata Shakti, Mata Shakti, Namo Namo!

(Primal Shakti, I bow to Thee! All-Encompassing Shakti, I bow to Thee! That through which Divine Creates, I bow to Thee! Creative Power of the Kundalini, Mother of all Mother Power, To Thee I Bow!)
