Dorin Popa writes
JAMAIS VU
I do not recognize anything anymore,
I do not know, I do not remember
a stranger through my life
preoccupied,
I hurriedly pass.
only sometimes do I perceive my
trembling,
fearful, helpless heart,
heart – an animal on the brink
of extinction
In psychology, jamais vu (French for "never seen") is the phenomenon of experiencing a situation that one recognizes in some fashion but that nonetheless seems very unfamiliar. Déjà vu ("already seen") is the phenomenon of having the strong sensation that an event or experience currently being experienced has already been experienced in the past. Presque vu (“almost seen”) is the inability to remember a word, combined with partial recall and the feeling that retrieval is imminent, but more commonly we say that the word is on the tip of one's tongue -- also, from the French in translation: "avoir le mot sur le bout de la langue" ("having the word on the tip of the tongue").
