Many prostrates from one soul.
My journeys are dangerous
Over a valley of the fortunate

The Day of the Last Judgment -- Mohammad Modabber
The Day of Judgment, Yawm al-Qiyāmah, when the annihilation of everything will be followed by the resurrection of all people, even if they have turned to stone or iron, and their judgment by Allah, is one of the six articles of faith in Sunni Islam and one of seven in Shia Islam. Those who reject the concept of resurrection will have chains around their necks; they are the rightful owners of fire. Its date is known only to Allah, but it will follow 10 signs (alamatu's-sa'ah al-kubra), though different authorities disagree on the order of their appearance. Several suras in the Qur'an are devoted to the event, but the hadith, the sayings of Muhammad collected long after his death, go into greater detail. The righteous are rewarded with the pleasures of Jannah (Paradise), while the unrighteous are punished in Jahannam (Hell). The time between a person's death and the Day of Resurrection is known as al-barzakh; according to the 10th-century hadith scholar Abu ’l-Qasim Sulayman ibn Ayyub ibn Muṭayyir al-Lakhmi al-Ṭabarani, "The souls of the Believers are inside green birds in the trees of Paradise until Allah returns them to their bodies on the Day of Resurrection." Those who have been dead will believe that a short time has passed.
ReplyDeleteYawm al-Qiyāmah will be preceded by the arrival of the powerful Masih ad-Dajjal, whose right eye is blind and deformed like a grape, and his entourage will consist of 70,000 Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls. He will be followed by the Mahdi ("guided one"), a descendant of Muhammad's daughter Fatimah and cousin Ali. He will be perfected in a single night, imbued with inspiration and wisdom, and his name will be announced from the sky. According to Shi’a belief, he is the 12th imam (Ali was the first imam; the last one, Muhammad al-Mahdi, went into hiding in 873 at the age of four but, via four close associates, maintained contact with his followers until the death of the last of his deputies in 940, when he disappeared: “Henceforth, no one will see me, unless and until Allah makes me appear. My reappearance will take place after a very long time when people will have grown tired of waiting.” At that time he will restore true Muslim values, recover the Ark of the Covenant, and conquer Istanbul and Mt. Daylam. After he completes his seven-year prophetic mission, Isa (Jesus) will descend from the 4th sky; together they will overcome Masih ad-Dajjal, and Isa will rule for 40 years until his death. These events will be followed by a time of serenity when people live according to religious values. However, Ya'jooj and Ma'jooj, representing chaos, will be freed from the imprisonment imposed on them by ḏū al-qarnayn (“he of two horns”); they will ravage the earth, drink all the water of Lake Tiberias, and kill all believers in their way until Isa,al-Mahdi, and the faithful will pray for their destruction. Allah will then send disease and worms against Ya'jooj and Ma'jooj, 40 years before Yawm al-Qiyāmah . Then a huge black cloud of smoke will cover the earth for 40 days, and, after the sun rises from the west, Dabbat al-Arḍ (the Beast of the Earth) will emerge from the ground with the ring of Sulaiman (Solomon) and the staff of Musa (Moses) and will admonish the infidels for their lack of faith. Mecca will be attacked and the Kaaba will be destroyed by an Ethiopian ruler. A pleasant breeze will blow from the south, causing all believers to die peacefully. For the next 120 years only sinners and infidels will inhabit the Earth. The moon will split in two, which non-believers will refuse to acknowledge. After several terrestrial perturbations. Israfil (The Burning One, who had collected the dust from which Adam was formed) will blow his trumpet, slaying the wicked. After 40 years he will blow it a second time from a holy rock in Jerusalem, the dead will return to life, and a fire will come out of Yemen the will summon everyone to Mahshar al Qiy'amah (The Gathering for Judgment). All will be naked, but the unfaithful will travel on their faces with their legs in the air. Everyone’s Book of Deeds will then be read, in which "every small and great thing is recorded” except acts before adolescence Records shall be given with the right hand if they are good, and the left if they are evil, and then perfect, divine, and merciful justice will be administered. Good Muslims (and Jews, Christians, and Sabeans who lived before Muhammad) will go to Jannah and the unrighteous to Jahannam, where they will be subjected to adhab (severe pain) and khizy (shame).
