Some people 

have a bluebird 

trapped in their heart.

Some people  

have butterflies 

fluttering around 

in their belly.

My bloated guts and glands 

aren’t quite as sweet, 

and the type of creatures 

that lurk within 

are more akin 

to parasitic tapeworms.
