"At any given time, whether outside or inside, she was always staring off into some complex distance, never present in the now. She remained self-contained, never giving any reason to draw attention to herself. She was a girl hiding in plain view. Her features remained flat, emotionless, but I knew there was someone galvanizing hidden behind that facade. I was instantly drawn to her, to the point that I couldn't rid her from my daydreams. None of the students I asked knew much about her which gave me a heightened sense of furious curiosity." ~Hilary D Zamora
