MY EBOMA

Spear us tonight oh lady fairest
to walk with nocturnal delight in the garden of breath.
lavender and sunshine owner of our breath
me and my soul at daylight, locked together till death.
Eboma!
Like morning glory embracing air at morning light,
so i long to bare you in my arms.
A candle lit on the left
your fingers fondling the right.

  1. "Morning glory" is the common name for over 1,000 species of flowering plants in the Convolvulaceae family, belonging to many genera. Most morning glory flowers bloom in the early morning but start to fade a few hours before the "petals" start showing visible curling. (However, some, like Ipomoea muricata "moonflower," are night-blooming flowers.) Popular varieties include "sunspots," "heavenly blue," and the cardinal climber (along with its cypress vine hybrid). The Chinese recognized the plant's medicinal uses, due to the laxative properties of its seeds. In the 9th century they introduced it to the Japanese, who became the first to cultivate it as an ornamental flower; the Japanese have also developed hundreds of varieties. In Japanese art it symbolizes summer. Aztec priests in Mexico used the plant's hallucinogenic properties; Mesoamerican cultures also used morning glory species to convert the latex from
rubber trees to make bouncing balls; the sulfur in the juice vulcanized.
