I act as a figurant in my own existence
even if I did hold you in my arms
much more deeply would I have liked
to hold you
even if the signs
did reveal themselves to me
few did I see
and much fewer
did I understand
now
I don’t know why I am afraid
and I don’t know why dare not
open
slowly
at ease
