Arctic Flurries
Winds toss foliage in air.
Birds bend against
frost
their wings
catching the
last sunlight.
In cosmic
dance snowflakes
light up
evening.
Diminutive
galaxies
circling abandoned gardens.
We hunch our
shoulders with winter.
Our shadows
are long now.
