                                      I travel the towns in pickup trucks

                                      cement or container lorries, and taxis

                                      or anyone offering a ride in the heat

                                      has been a taxi driver for thirty-five years

                                      two wives, sixteen children

                                      and he’s a good driver, a gentleman

                                      and happy to be going home

                                      as we cruise on to Liwa

                                      talking and smiling

                                      all the way down the Batinah Coast
