Honey Trap

Ignore the finer points of anything:

of spot welding or fellatio

or calligraphy –

just get the gist and run with it

those who can, do…those who can’t, teach

you know who said that?

Shaw.

Probably while slicing open an over ripe melon

with a knife

or planting annuals like clockwork

or harvesting bees for his many future

honey traps.

The past is the past for a reason,

pay it little mind.

But do not get stuck on the glue trap

of new trends, little mouse.

Find a place in the walls

away from everything

that is warm and quiet

and yours.

Two hearts

An intriguing message,
passionate but also gentle
with a melancholic touch
Your first words

Confused thoughts,
I can't sleep
The sheets tangled and messy
same as my exhausted mind

You can't come nearer
I won't allow it
Don't want to go through
these pains anymore

My sight is blurry
I hate this smell
Disinfectants mixed with
the rusty scent of blood

Cardiac arrest, they told me
A miracle, I survived
As you came into my room, I knew
Two hearts destined to beat together
