What’s The Fuss About?
All women have tits;
All men have balls and penises.
All people shit and piss.
What’s the fuss about?
All have it, do it; ARE it: humanit-
y!
Half the world won’t speak of it,
Certainly won’t show it.
Filled with shame, embarrassment & guilt,
We tilt at windmills.
What IS the fuss about?
The innocence of nature put to rout,
Replaced by acts against mankind:
Acts of commission and omission
Winding down the clock,
Towards an apoc-
alypse.
THAT’S what the fuss should be about.
According to the Tamil text "Tiruvilaiyatarpuranam," king Malayadwaja Pandya of Madurai and his wife Kanchanamalai performed a Putra Kameshti yagna (a ritual that would bring progeny to whoever performs it sincerely) in order to conceive a son and successor. However, instead of a son a 3-year-old daughter with 3 breasts appeared in the holy fire, walked out, and sat on the queen's lap. She was called Meenakshi (the Tamil "meen" [fish] and the Sanskrit "akshi" [eye] due to the appearance of her eyes, which were reputed to bring life to the unborn.) Raised like a prince, she mastered the arts of war and joined her father in battle. Embarking on a Dik Vijaya (a pilgrimage of conquest) she defeated all opponents until she reached Kailash, where she was confronted by Shiva. Instead of fighting him she surrendered and was told to return to Madurai, where she (as an avatar of the goddess Parvati) would marry the 3-eyed god, and they became the rulers of Pandya and the lands that Meenakshi had conquered. However, each ruled 1/2 the year. In Madurai calendars indicate which one rules on a particular day. She is also considered to be Vishnu's sister and a form of Tripura Sundari (the foremost of the 10 aspects of the supreme goddess Adi Parashakti the original creator, observer, and destroyer of the universe, the ultimate energy of the universe, and the supreme consciousness, even above Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. She sits on Shiva's lap in his form as Kameshvara, the "lord of desire.")
