Ryan Quinn Flanagan writes

Lake Titicaca

it is hard to think of a dumber name
for anything.

Except perhaps
anyone who names their child Adolf
after the 20th century.

Those people must really hate their spawn.
There are a few animals out there that eat theirs,
and that would be kinder.

Fish low on energy will often consume their young,
so it must be kosher.

But Titicaca, really?

It sounds like a titty bar full of dancers
with the runs.

If I was naming lakes, we would not have this problem.
Your children jumping into Lake Adolf
right before you devour
them.

  1. Titiqaqa Qucha (Lago Titicaca) is the largest lake in South America and the highest navigable lake in the world (3,812 m / 12,507 ft). It straddles Peru and Bolivia. Its name is possibly derived from the Aymara "titiq’aq’a" (gray discolored / lead-colored puma). After a great flood Viracocha arose from the lake Titicaca to make the world. He commanded the sun (Inti), moon (Mama Kilya) and stars to rise, then went to Tiahuanaco to create the first human beings Manco Cápac and Mama Uqllu.
