Sheikha A. writes

Untitled

I
Trading grey stone winds
O maker of sky and earth
sharpen leaves on trees

II
fire bows on soil
rivers of hair glint of gold
roaring red deer horns

III
bosoms heave curses
dust forests bear bare heads
call of the muezzin

IV
night flutes gypsy song
carpet of praying crickets
audience, the moon

V
steed of war has wings
quiet cicada watches
stars battle the heat

  1. Yuxi Yuve, the Spirit of Water, lives in the depths of the great rivers of the Amazon rainforest. The water originates from her hair and conects her to all the rivers and everything that is supported by the water.
