Dear Mr Huer, Although fascinating you do seem a bit what the Swedes call snål or stingy in a few of your examples of philanthropy. It must be the motive that counts, n'est.ce'pas? If I had a surplus of money which surely, in the end, is a gift from God and hard worked for, would it not be a generous act, in spite of how. where, why or by what means it was earned, to give some away. Must one have been seen as suffering to qualify as a philanthropist? Dear Mr Muer, try to find a little more understanding and broadness in your own generous heart. Sincerely, Arlene Corwin
