Laurie Kuntz writes

The Weight of In-Between

One day,
perhaps this very moment,
I will allow the wind to take me.

I will know I am ready,
the way a son knows
his mother's touch--

the feel of skin on cheek,
the curves and jagged lines of her hand,
understanding that the distance in-between

each weighted embrace
is filled with an azure amazement
having no beginning or end.
