It's
All Good Juice
David,
we will turn you loose
It's
all good juice, it's all good juice
Float
on the river, you silly goose
It's
all good juice, it's all good juice
And
when we see the river flow
We'll
think of you and then we'll know
You're
here with us, above, below
It's
all good juice, it's all good juice
We're
smiling, but we're crying too
It's
all good juice, it's all good juice
Our
tears will flow and so will you
It's
all good juice, it's all good juice
Tomorrow
we will walk away
But
you will stay and joke and play
And
we will feel and think and say
It's
all good juice, it's all good juice
It's
all good juice, it's all good juice
[David Ray Loeding (1954-2016). Hawaii Community College
registrar, cellist, gymnast, glassblower, jester, died on 21 May, a week before
he was scheduled to depart for Cambodia on a humanitarian mission for Hawaii
International Hope Foundation, which he co-founded. His friends took his ashes
to Thailand and placed them in the Mekong river along the Lao border.]
In the 1980s I was one of Dave's many close friends in Korea, where he had gone for the Peace Corps and stayed as a professor at the Korean University of Foreign Studies. He constantly had some new infatuation -- a computer game, the construction of a hydroponic marijuana farm in his apartment, playing Frisbee golf, always something exhilarating. I was tremendously looking forward to meeting him again in Thailand en route to Cambodia and was shocked to learn of his sudden passing.
