Michael Drummond writes

Healing the Blind

Searching for love
Pushed me here and there

Searching for love
Taught me how to care

Searching for love
No it never came

But it cleansed my heart
I'm just not the same

Searching for peace
Amidst the storm

Searching for peace
And to be reborn

Searching for peace
No it never came to me

But it cleansed my heart
And now I'm free

Searching to find
My way back home

Searching right down
To the bone

Up in the mountains
Down in the vale

Through the forests
Over the trails

Searching so much
I forgot my pain

Searching for refuge
No it never came

But it cleansed my heart
I’m just not the same

It opened my heart
And my eyes and ears

It emptied me of
All worries and fears

It cleansed me down
And cleansed me up
It cleansed away the poisoned cup

It cleansed and cleansed
Without a scrub

Unbeknownst to me
Or the gods
