Frank M. Tedesco writes

I was born on a gurney in an up elevator at 6:49 pm June 23, 1946. My mother refused to close her legs so I would exit her womb quickly. The year before my brother was a stillborn and she didn't want me to die. The black attendants wanted her to give birth in the ob-gyn room but she blew them off. She heard them say that "she gave birth just like us" quickly with a mighty push, "wham bham thank you, ma'am..."
