Jack Scott writes

Infallible

You're wrong, he said,

but am I?
And why does he think I am?
What right does he have,
what right indeed,
to say that his thoughts
are the thoughts to be thought
by me and others
who think on the things
that he thinks on?
He's right/I'm wrong:
our equation.
It's that simple to him.
If I'm wrong, he's right;
If right, he's right,
for he is never wrong.
