Susan Kahil writes

To my dearest Mother
For me there is no other
I’ll always remember your laughing eyes
And the pain you felt when the tears I cried
The comfort you gave me when I was scared
The care and special love we both shared

When the wind blows
I’ll hear your soft words
Knowing your soul’s as free as a bird
Gentle Mother of mine
I’ll miss your warm embrace
But locked inside my mind forever
Is your beautiful face

So nit nit and toodle pip
As we say our last goodnight
A million times I love you
Until we meet again in God’s dawn
An eternal light
