Robert Zemeckis directed the 1992 movie "Death Becomes Her" scripted by David Koepp and Martin Donovan. Aging actress Madeline Ashton (played by Meryl Streep) obtained a potion to give her eternal life and youthful appearance, but she broke her neck. Her husband Ernest Menville (played by Bruce Willis), a reconstructive mortician, stole her from the morgue and repeaired her body. She then shot her rival Helen Sharp (Goldie Hahn), only to discover that she too had drunk the same potion. Realizing that they needed Ernest's skills to maintain their bodies, they tried to get him to drink the potion as well, but he evaded them, leaving them to their own devices. Decades later, with cracked, peeling paint and putty covering most of their rotting flesh, they attended his funeral but fell down the stairs and, though still alive, broke apart.
