Jack Scott writes

Dreaming Light

Had I the wisdom to be wise

I would close my eyes
and dream the rest of it,
waking when the dream was right
and fit the light.
Not that wisdom is regret,
but the weaving of a net
to capture what escaped before.
Memories recalled,
dream saved to spend
when dream is plan
and dreamer, architect.
When one dreams light
there is no puttering
with candlewax and wicks.
One dreams light,
is lit.
