THAT IS THE WONDER
How does one Heart bear ๐so much love, so much fear? ๐That is the Wonder! ๐๐
How can the Beloved be, ๐so far, and yet so near? ๐That is the Wonder!
How can any one land be, ๐violent yet full of beauty?๐
What we hate is what is dear! ๐That is the Wonder!๐๐
Mists and cloud ๐the mountains shroud ๐hanging so heavily
Then sun shines and all is clear! ๐That is the Wonder!๐๐
Saffron blooms, Fruit trees blossom, ๐On Earth’s old bosom๐
Nature proclaims Spring is here! ๐That is the Wonder๐๐
Curtains of pollution fall ๐you can see the Pir Panjal๐
Air’s now transparent and sheer! ๐That is the Wonder!๐๐
Hope rises Joy wakes ๐even after Heart Breaks ๐
‘ Anjum ‘ shines in Heaven’s sphere! ๐That is the Wonder!๐๐

The Pir Panjal is a group of mountains in the Inner Himalayan region, running from east-southeast to west-northwest across the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and the Pakistani-administered territory of Azad Kashmir. It is the largest range of th Lesser Himalyas. In Kashmiri, they are known as the Pir Pantsal and were known as the Panchaladeva (the god of Panchala) in the 12th century Kashmiri historian Kalhana's metrical chronology "Rajatarangin."
ReplyDeleteAnjum means "stars" and is a common name for boys and girls.
